Playa Valleseco

Playa Valleseco is a beach located in close proximity to the city centre, making it one of the most accessible beaches in the area. It can be reached either by a half-hour walk or by frequent bus services. The beach is situated at the end of the dock of the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, next to a refinery. Despite its small size, about 80 meters long, it offers a large parking lot that is usually almost fully occupied. The beach itself is divided into two zones: the new and the old. The new zone is equipped with amenities such as a shower, areas for installing an umbrella, and a playground. The old beach, on the other hand, is more rocky and features different heights on the pier, including a descent into the water. Both zones offer places to sit, either on the rocks or the piers. While not the most picturesque, Playa Valleseco is a functional beach where visitors can swim and sunbathe. The beach is also known for its relaxing sunsets and gorgeous views of the Santa Cruz skyline. However, some visitors have noted a lack of green areas and cleanliness, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.
