Yılancı Burnu, historically known as Neapolis, is a picturesque peninsula situated in Kuşadası, Turkey. It is recognized as the original site of Kuşadası, founded by the Ions. Reaching Yılancı Burnu is feasible through several means. Visitors can take the number 5 bus from the coastal bus stops and then walk downhill for approximately 5-10 minutes. Taxis are also an available mode of transportation. For those who prefer driving, the roads leading to the peninsula are narrow and curved, necessitating careful navigation.
Yılancı Burnu also features a beach, Yılancı Burnu Plajı, situated approximately 3 km from the center of Kuşadası. The beach is accessible due to its proximity to the coastal road and tourist areas. It is characterized by its sandy and clean shore, calm and clear sea, and natural beauty, which make it ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. Facilities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, and shower facilities are available to visitors, along with cafes, restaurants, and food and beverage stalls for refreshments.
In the evenings, Yılancı Burnu offers a peaceful atmosphere, with a stunning view of the stars and the lights of Kuşadası reflected by Pigeon Island. Visitors are advised to exercise caution when visiting during these hours. Despite its tranquility, the beach is not recommended for families due to the presence of young people who frequently play loud music and consume alcohol by the seaside.
