Alygaria Kampos

Alygaria Kampos, also known by the name Aligaria, is a serene and secluded beach situated in the southern region of Schinoussa, Greece. This tranquil spot comprises three small beaches that are a blend of sand and shingle, encircled by rocky hills. These hills offer a protective shield against the wind, thus ensuring barely any waves, which makes it an ideal destination on windy days.

The beach is nestled in a beautiful natural bay and is particularly recommended for afternoon visits when the sunlight casts a picturesque view of the landscape. The clear blue waters of Alygaria Kampos serve as a haven for snorkeling enthusiasts, due to the abundant marine life and the striking rocky seabed. Additionally, the beach also houses hidden bays and caves, adding to the allure of exploration and adventure.

As the beach is further from the main town, it contributes to a peaceful and private swimming experience. However, due to the absence of amenities in the vicinity, visitors are advised to bring their own water and other necessities.

Reaching Alygaria Kampos requires traversing a narrow and dusty road, which may prove to be challenging but is well worth the effort given the stunning landscape that awaits. There is a parking facility available, however, it is more suited for scooters than cars. Despite its remote location, the beach is easily accessible, making it a hidden gem in Schinoussa. The beach also presents opportunities for fishing, adding to its charm.
