Among the lava rocks is a circular platform previously utilized by British gunners for shore defense against German U-boats during wartime. The beach is equipped with a range of amenities to enhance visitors' experience. These include fresh water showers and small shops offering refreshments. For safety, multiple lifeguards are stationed at the beach, though visitors are urged to exercise caution due to the presence of strong currents and occasional Portuguese Man-of-War.
