Located in the Grimaldi province of Imperia, Italy, Balzi Rossi beach is characterized by its gravel and large rock composition - yet, it has been adapted for accessibility. With its child-friendly environment, Balzi Rossi beach is an ideal destination for family vacations. Near the beach lies the Balzi Rossi cave, one of the most well-known archaeological sites, thanks to its designation as the location of some of the oldest human remains. Thomas Hanbury constructed a museum adjacent to the beach in response to this discovery.
