Plage Clemenceau

Plage Clémenceau is a picturesque beach situated in La Tranche-sur-Mer, a charming seaside town in the Vendée department of the Pays de la Loire region in France. Known for its sandy shore and dunes, the beach is located east of the city center in the La Grière neighborhood. Its expansive size makes it one of the larger beaches in La Tranche, providing ample space for visitors to enjoy the sand and sea.

During the months of July and August, Plage Clémenceau is supervised, providing a safe environment for families and individuals to swim and sunbathe. The slow sloping sand into the sea makes it an ideal location for families, especially those with young children.

In terms of amenities, the beach provides sanitary facilities for public use. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments from a snack bar which operates during the summer months. Pets are welcome on the beach, but they must be kept on a leash when outside of the supervised areas.

Visitors can access the beach from the entrance located at the end of Avenue des Tulipes, which begins at Avenue Charles Chauveau. To accommodate visitors who are driving, several parking spaces are available near the entrance. Additionally, a walking trail stretches from the pier along the beach towards La Grière, providing an alternate route for those who prefer to walk.

Plage Clémenceau is known to attract crowds during the high season. However, during off-peak times such as September, visitors can enjoy a more peaceful experience. Despite the potential for high visitor numbers, the beach maintains its serene atmosphere, with the landscape's colors constantly changing, offering a dynamic and beautiful view to all who visit.
