Spiaggia Dei Mangani

Spiaggia Dei Mangani, also known as Cala dell'Inferno, is a secluded beach located approximately 800 meters from the village of Nisportino on the northeastern coast of the island of Isola d'Elba. The beach is renowned for its untouched natural beauty, characterized by a rugged landscape covered in vegetation. It's a combination of gravel and sand, extending to the sea bed which comprises of both sandy and rocky bottoms. The turquoise, crystal clear sea enhances its appeal, making it an ideal spot for swimming and bathing.

Despite its beauty, Spiaggia Dei Mangani remains largely uncrowded owing to its remoteness and the effort required to reach it. The beach is primarily accessible by sea, contributing to its tranquil and semi-deserted state. However, it can also be reached by land via a walking trail that starts from Nisportino Beach. The trek to Spiaggia Dei Mangani is approximately 1.6 kilometers long with an altitude change of 120 meters, taking around 40 to 60 minutes. Due to the nature of the trail, visitors are advised to wear trail or trekking shoes for comfort and safety.

While the beach itself does not offer any amenities, the nearby village of Nisportino can be conveniently accessed from Rio nell'Elba via an asphalt road. Despite being located on a ferry transit route, Spiaggia Dei Mangani remains largely undisturbed by tourist traffic, providing a serene and private experience for visitors. However, it's important to note that there is no designated parking available at the beach due to its secluded nature.
