The Spiaggia delle Cinque Arcate di Castelveccana, Caldè is a quaint, public beach situated on the eastern edge of Lake Maggiore, within the town of Castelveccana, in the locality of Caldè. The beach is renowned for its scenic beauty and crystal-clear water, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing and scuba diving. Its terrain is composed of small pebbles and smooth rocks, providing comfortable spots for sunbathing. However, the water depth increases rapidly close to the shore, making the beach less suitable for children and non-swimmers. The underwater rocky walls add to its allure, especially among scuba divers. Despite its small size, the beach tends to get crowded due to its popularity among visitors. The beach is accessible from the SP 69 road from Laveno Mombello towards Castelveccana Caldè. After passing through the tunnels, visitors will find a large clearing on the right with a small kiosk, offering free parking. It is advised to arrive early to secure a parking spot due to the beach's popularity. A small path, linked to the road, leads to the beach, which is also reachable via a set of stairs. Unfortunately, the beach is not suitable for people with disabilities due to the lack of appropriate facilities. There are no services provided on the beach, and there are no bars in the immediate vicinity. However, there is a terrace near the path to the beach that was once an ancient lime kiln, filled with material when it was constructed next to the provincial road.
