Spiaggia delle Piscine, also known as Li Piscini in the local Gallurese language, is a secluded beach situated between Punta Saline and Punta Iaciola in Sardinia, Italy. The beach is in the municipality of Arzachena, within the province of Sassari. It is accessed via the coastal road that leads from Golfo delle Saline to Cannigione.
The beach is known for its natural beauty, characterized by the nearly untouched environment. It consists of two main beaches and several smaller ones, all with similar features, separated by a small promontory. The total length of the beach is approximately 250 meters.
The sand of Spiaggia delle Piscine is cream-pink in color with a medium to coarse grain. Framing the beach are beautiful granite rocks and fragrant Mediterranean vegetation. The sea is a vibrant green-blue color, very transparent, and the sandy seabed, which quickly becomes deep, is teeming with marine life. This makes the beach suitable for scuba diving and snorkeling.
The beach is relatively sheltered from the wind and offers splendid views of the Gulf of Arzachena. Despite its allure, the beach is not easily accessible, with the most convenient route being through an arch at the end of the road.
There is an asphalted parking area near the beach, from which it is about a 100-meter walk to reach the sandy beach of Li Piscini. The beach tends to be more crowded near this parking area. However, the beach is generally tranquil and not typically crowded, providing a sense of solitude and peace for its visitors.
Despite its somewhat off-the-beaten-path location, the beach is well-maintained and kept clean. Visitors are encouraged to take a walk around the cove to fully appreciate its natural beauty.
