Spiaggia di Capo Bianco, located on the northern coast of Portoferraio on the island of Elba, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and clear waters. Characterized by white pebbles, the beach is surrounded by a white rock formation that reflects the seabed's bright color, contributing to the water's remarkable coloration. Depending on sun and wind exposure, the sea's color can range from emerald green to blue. Backed by lush Mediterranean vegetation, the beach also features a white cliff at its highest point. Covering a length of approximately 300 meters and a width of 20 meters, Spiaggia di Capo Bianco is sheltered from strong winds, ensuring the water remains relatively calm. The underwater area consists of white pebbles, deepening as one moves further out from the shore, making it a suitable location for families, though caution is advised due to the changing depth of the seabed. Spiaggia di Capo Bianco offers limited amenities, with a small bar that rents sun loungers and umbrellas being the only available service. Despite this, it is a popular destination among both tourists and locals, particularly during the summer months. The beach is accessible from May to late September, and visitors can enjoy walks along the beach even outside the summer season. To reach Spiaggia di Capo Bianco, visitors can follow signs for Ghiaie beach and continue on Via Einaudi. Parking is available for a daily fee, and the beach can be accessed by descending a few steps. However, the beach is not equipped for people with disabilities. The beach is part of the "zona di tutela biologica dello Scoglietto," a nature reserve that extends from Capo Bianco to Punta Falcone. This reserve is a popular spot for diving and snorkeling, boasting diverse marine life that can be observed due to the clear waters. Fishing in the reserve is strictly prohibited.
