The beach is approximately 100 meters long and characterized by its white gravel. It opens up to the sea, particularly to the north, providing a serene setting for beachgoers. A short stretch of cliffs separates this beach from the nearby Ghiaie beach, and on its west coast, visitors can discover intriguing small caves. The sea at Cala dei Frati is known for its clarity and is suitable for snorkeling, offering a unique chance to spot marine life, including octopus, grouper, sea bream, white bream, and saddled bream. However, the beach is predominantly pebbly, so it is recommended for visitors to wear appropriate footwear. As the beach does not provide any amenities, visitors are encouraged to maintain its cleanliness and natural beauty by leaving it as they found it. Despite its charm, Cala dei Frati is not typically crowded, primarily due to its difficult access. Currently, land access to the beach is private, though there have been efforts to make it public. The beach can be reached either by boat or by swimming from Ghiaie beach. If visitors choose to visit by boat, they are urged to stay a 200-meter distance from the beach. Those who opt to swim should be ready for a short journey in water with a maximum depth of 50/60 cm, over stones and rocks. Visitors are also advised to be cautious due to slippery submerged rocks and passing boats. There is no specific parking facility available for the beach due to its secluded location and access restrictions. Therefore, visitors who plan to access the beach by boat or swimming from Ghiaie beach should consider parking options at Ghiaie beach.
