Baia di Ieranto, also known as Ieranto Bay, is a stunning beach located on the Italian peninsula. The beach is accessible either by a hiking trail or by paddling around the coast, with motor boat access being restricted. The hike, while not long, is steep and can be challenging, so good footwear and water are recommended. The beach itself is a mix of natural sand and pebbles, and there is also a man-made platform for those who prefer a cleaner and more comfortable spot. The platform is close to the edge of the water, providing an opportunity for adventurous visitors to jump straight into the sea. The beach is well-maintained and in the afternoon, a boat-shop services the area, providing coffee, ice cream, canned drinks, and snacks. Parking at Baia di Ieranto is limited, so it is advised to arrive early for a better chance of securing a spot. The journey from the parking area to the beach is a short but steep hike, offering stunning views of the faraglioni of Capri in the distance. The beach can also be reached from the piazza in Nerano using GPS. Despite its popularity, the beach can get crowded, especially during peak hours. Therefore, it is suggested to visit on a weekday and to leave before it gets dark, as the return journey can take longer due to the steep ascent and the lack of lighting on the trail. As part of a marine protected area, visitors are reminded to respect the natural environment to preserve its beauty.
