Just a short distance away from the beach is a natural trail that leads to the abandoned Terranera mine and the nearby Terranera beach. This trail offers a brief 10-minute excursion to the Terranera lake, a small sulfuric lake with a unique green color, formed from rainwater and seawater that filled an old mining excavation.
Spiaggia di Reale can be easily accessed by car from Porto Azzurro. Free parking is available along the road as well as in a nearby dirt parking lot. During the summer, a shuttle bus service runs between the town and the beach, providing a convenient transportation option for visitors.
