Located in Montego Bay, Jamaica's northern region, lies Doctor's Cave, a beach which is approximately 25 minutes away from Hopewell.
Originally owned by Dr. Alexander J. McCatty, this beach was later transformed into a bathing club after being donated.
Accessible via a cave, hence the name, it was unfortunately destroyed by a hurricane. Despite this setback, the beach remains a picturesque paradise known for its reputedly healing waters.
However, admittance requires a fee. Moreover, Doctor's Cave is included in the Montego Bay Marine Park conservation initiative.
Visitor reviews highlight that the beach is nicely maintained and clean, with attentive staff and good food. Visitors enjoy lounging on the chairs or exploring the crystal-clear waters. Some visitors complain about the high prices for entry, chairs, and umbrellas, and note that the beach can get crowded.
