Doctor’s Cave

Doctor’s cave is situated to the north of Jamaica in Montego Bay – approximately 25 minutes from Hopewell, Jamaica. This beach was once a private property of Dr. Alexander J. McCatty, who then donated it with the purpose of starting a bathing club. It was accessed through a cave, hence the name, however it was later destroyed by a hurricane. Besides being the definition of paradise, this beach is said to have waters with healing powers, maybe that’s why it’s so famous. They do, however, charge an entrance fee. Doctor’s cave is also a part of the protected Montego Bay Marine park.
