Grande Plage/Partie Nord

Grande Plage/Partie Nord, also known as plage du Trier, is a beach situated near the city center of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne. Known for its natural charm, the beach boasts ultra-soft sand and pleasant swimming conditions, providing a clean and seaweed-free environment that sets it apart from other beaches.

The beach offers a variety of activities for visitors. From the end of June to the end of August, it is supervised, allowing for safe swimming and water sports. Other activities include walking and cycling along the waterfront. For those who require it, ramp access and specific equipment are available upon request at the lifeguard stations in July and August.

In terms of amenities, Grande Plage/Partie Nord is well-equipped. It features a beach volleyball court, a beach club, a water sports center, and an initiation pool. For convenience, showers and toilets are available for use. Alongside these facilities, there are a number of eateries located in the vicinity of the beach. However, it's important to note that animals are not permitted on the beach, in accordance with a municipal decree displayed at the entrance.

Despite its popularity, Grande Plage/Partie Nord is less crowded than some other beaches in the region, such as Royan, offering a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for visitors.

When it comes to parking, there are plenty of spaces available in close proximity to the beach, making it easily accessible and a favorite spot among both locals and tourists.
