Spiaggia La Balcaccia

Spiaggia La Balcaccia is a pristine beach located between Porto Pozzo and La Marmoreta in Sardinia, Italy. It is known for its crystal clear water with a turquoise emerald sandy bottom, making it a popular destination for beachgoers. The beach is sheltered from the mistral and south-westerly winds, providing a calm and serene environment for visitors. Alternatively, the beach can also be accessed by sea. Despite its secluded location, Spiaggia La Balcaccia is not often crowded. In early July, it is common to see only a handful of people, while in mid-August, the number may rise to around 30. By early September, the beach is often empty. The beach is also known for its fine and clean sandy beach, clean sea, and minimal seagrass. Preservation of the beach's natural beauty is a priority, and as such, boats are often not allowed too close to the shore. The coast guard frequently patrols the area to ensure compliance with this rule. Despite its remote location and limited access, Spiaggia La Balcaccia is considered a must-visit for its natural beauty and tranquility.
