La Marinedda is a picturesque beach situated in Isola Rossa, within the municipality of TrinitĂ D'Agultu in northern Sardinia. Known for its stunning natural beauty, it is characterized by its vibrant contrast of colors, clear green waters, and surrounding vegetation.
The beach is nestled between the red granite cliffs of Isola Rossa and Punta Li Canneddi, and features spectacular sandy dunes. The shoreline hints at pink due to the presence of red porphyry fragments mixed with white sand. The eastern side of the beach is sandy, while the western side alternates between red rocks and sand, forming numerous popular coves. The beach is also surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, including gnarled junipers, pink flowers of Rose Marine, and white sea lilies.
La Marinedda's crystal-clear sea has various shades of blue and emerald, with a shallow seabed in the first few meters that gradually slopes. The turquoise waters change color with the varying light, and the backdrop of Punta Canneddi rocks adds to the enchanting atmosphere. Despite its popularity, the beach is spacious enough to offer a relaxing experience for visitors. It is also known for its strong winds, making it a popular spot for surfing.
The beach is easily accessible via several walkways, with parking facilities available for visitors. To reach La Marinedda, visitors can take the SS 200 and turn onto the provincial road 39 in Paduledda. They can then continue to Isola Rossa and take a road on the right just before the village.
La Marinedda offers various amenities and services. There is accessibility for people with disabilities, as well as water activities, a bar, and a restaurant. Visitors can also rent umbrellas, sunbeds, boats, pedal boats, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards. The beach is home to a surf and windsurf school and has cozy kiosks that provide bar and restaurant services. It is suitable for both young people and families.
