Plage Les de ux-Jumeaux

Plage Les Deux-Jumeaux, nestled in Hendaye, France, is a beach known for its distinctive natural characteristics. The beach is part of the larger Grande Plage and stretches over 3 kilometers, offering ample space for visitors. The beach is named after two remarkable rock formations that emerge from the sea, adding to its scenic appeal.

The sandy shoreline and gentle slope of the beach make it an ideal destination for families, offering easy swimming conditions and a safe environment. The calm waters and stunning views contribute to the overall appeal of the beach.

Plage Les Deux-Jumeaux is also notable for being accessible to people with disabilities. It has been awarded the Handiplage label, indicating its accessibility features. The beach provides parking and sanitary facilities adapted for people with reduced mobility, located just 80 meters from the beach. This reserved parking area can be accessed via a wide ramp suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.

In addition to these amenities, the beach also offers an information area, accessible showers and changing rooms, assistance for people with reduced mobility, shade shelters, and an audio system. To facilitate swimming, beach mats and 6 tiralos are provided.

The beach is monitored during the summer season, from late June to early September, ensuring the safety of the visitors. However, it's important to note that animals are not permitted on the beach, as per a municipal decree.

Unique to Plage Les Deux-Jumeaux is its accommodation of both naturists and those who prefer to remain clothed, creating an inclusive environment. A part of the beach closest to the rocks is reserved for naturists.

Visitors can reach the beach by parking along Boulevard de la Mer or on Rue d'Armatonde. Despite its popularity, its significant stretch provides enough room to avoid overcrowding, making it a peaceful spot for fishing, walking, and family activities.
