Plage de l'Étang

Plage de l'Étang is a charming beach situated in Préfailles, France. It is renowned for its scenic landscapes, remarkable sea views, and multiple orange sandy coves that contribute to its wild and natural beauty. The largest cove serves as a popular spot among visitors, while the smaller coves offer a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The beach is a favored destination for vacationers looking for activities such as swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing to the calming sounds of the sea. The water quality of the beach is suitable for swimming, and for the safety of the beachgoers, lifeguard services are provided during the peak summer months of July and August. Despite its popularity, Plage de l'Étang maintains a serene ambiance, particularly during less favorable weather conditions when it is less crowded. The beach, however, does not offer any comfort facilities, apart from the lifeguard surveillance during the summer months. To reach Plage de l'Étang, visitors can follow the directions towards Portmain Beach and then proceed along the Fontenis path. The beach provides a free parking area for visitors. From the parking lot, a paved road, not accessible to vehicles, leads visitors towards the beach. At the end of this road, the customs officers' path on the right provides another access point to the beach. An alternative access point is also available at the Ker Bidet path.
