Spiaggia Libera San Vincenzo is a stunning beach located in the picturesque coastal town of San Vincenzo in Tuscany. The beach has been recognized for its cleanliness and high-quality water, receiving the "Bandiera Blu" award since 2006.
The beach spans 11 kilometers, with its northern boundary stretching up to Marina di Donoratico in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci. The sandy expanse is surrounded by streets bustling with shops, bars, and ice cream parlors. A variety of restaurants are also available along the waterfront, offering fresh fish dishes. However, it should be noted that the beach does not have beach volleyball courts.
Spiaggia Libera San Vincenzo is known for its shallow waters, which gradually deepen, making it a safe and enjoyable place for swimming. This also makes it an ideal spot for families with children. However, during the peak season, visitors often arrive early in the morning to secure a better space by placing their umbrellas on the beach. The beach also offers the option to rent a cot.
The beach offers both public areas and areas controlled by resorts, with a free beach located towards the south of San Vincenzo. From the beach, visitors can enjoy views of Elba and sometimes Corsica, and towards the south, the promontory of Populonia and Baratti can be seen. San Vincenzo and the beach itself exude a unique charm, giving the impression that it was a town first before becoming a tourist destination.
