Spiaggia Messa del Cervo

Spiaggia Messa del Cervo is a unique cove located in Caprera, Italy. It is characterized by its rocky terrain and old buildings from the 1st world war, which add a touch of history to the natural beauty of the place. Despite not being a traditional sandy beach, it serves as a mooring for the Candeo battery and is a popular spot for a refreshing swim. The beach is accessible via a trail that begins at the foot of Forte Arbuticci. The trail, known as Trail #11 Candeo Fortifications, is one of the longest in Caprera and takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the beach. The path is particularly rocky and requires comfortable shoes for a safe journey. The trail is downhill on the outward journey and can be completed by anyone with a bit of patience for the ascent. Parking is available under the Garibaldi memorial, from where the trail to the beach begins. Despite its secluded location, the beach can get crowded, especially during peak seasons.
