North Point Beach, also known as Karma Beach, is a popular tourist destination located on the northern part of Sunrise Beach. This stretch of beach is renowned for its long tongue of white sand, which becomes a gathering spot for tourists in the evening, particularly before sunset. The sand at this section of Sunrise Beach is particularly fine and velvety, adding to its appeal.
The beach is known for its calm and pool-like water, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing. However, it is worth noting that the beach may not be very suitable for little kids due to the sloping sea. There are also no trees available for shade from the sun. Visitors are advised to be cautious of jellyfish, as indicated by warning signs on the beach.
The beach is easily accessible, although there was a construction site noted in the area as of November 2022. Despite its popularity, North Point Beach is less crowded compared to other beaches like Pattaya and Sunrise beach, and there are no boats around this beach.
One of the unique features of North Point Beach is its changing landscape. Depending on the season, the headland can appear slightly larger or smaller, sometimes round or pointed in shape. When the water level is low, visitors can wade really far out into the sea, and the offshore reef is also ideal for snorkeling.
The beach offers breathtaking views, particularly from the mountain. At around 18 o'clock, the tide is so low that visitors can walk straight to Koh Adang. The sunset at North Point Beach is also a sight to behold.
Despite its natural beauty, there have been concerns about trash on the beach. It is hoped that measures will be taken to address this issue and preserve the beauty of North Point Beach for future generations to enjoy.
