Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is a popular destination located on Koh Lipe. It is known for its stunning sunsets and clear ocean waters. The beach is easily accessible, being approximately 1 km from Walking Street. Visitors can follow several signs and a dirt path down a hill to reach the beach. The path, however, may be difficult for individuals with mobility issues due to its rutted nature. The beach is characterized by its smooth sand and crystal-clear waters, particularly during high tide. However, the area has been impacted by tourism-related waste, with some visitors noting the presence of a garbage boat and litter on the beach. Despite this, the beach is generally kept clean. Sunset Beach offers several amenities for visitors. There are bars perched on the rocks to the left of the beach, and restrooms are available. Visitors are advised to arrive an hour before sunset to fully appreciate the changing colors in the sky. There are two areas of Sunset Beach that visitors can explore. One area is less maintained and may have more litter, while the other area offers a more enjoyable experience with bars and shows. Due to the limitations of navigation apps on small islands, asking locals for directions is recommended. Sunset Beach is not typically crowded, offering a peaceful environment for visitors to relax and enjoy the sunset. It can be reached by a short walk or tuk tuk ride from Walking Street.
