Nudist Beach Jelenica, known locally as Plaža nudisticka Jelenica, is a naturist beach located near the village of Kukljica on Ugljan Island, Croatia. It is situated in the northeastern part of the island, nestled in the bay of Sabusa. This beach is recognized for its natural beauty, surrounded by ancient pine trees, lush Mediterranean vegetation, and olive trees, providing a serene environment for vacationers.
The beach itself is a rocky cove with a sandy bottom, featuring areas of fine gravel and some pebbles. This mix of sand and pebbles makes it an ideal spot for family vacations and allows for children to play in the sand. Additionally, the beach is designated for nudists, adhering to the Freikörperkultur (FKK), or free body culture.
Access to Nudist Beach Jelenica is achievable by foot, bicycle, or boat. It is a 25-minute walk from the center of Kukljica village. The beach does not provide any facilities, so visitors are advised to bring their necessities. For those traveling by car, parking is available on the nearby road. For a more secluded experience, there is a smaller nudist cove called Mala Sabuša situated next to Jelenica.
While the beach is popular among naturists, it is important to note that it is not always crowded. However, the beach's natural terrain, consisting of large, sharp stones, may not be comfortable for all visitors. Accessing the beach also involves navigating a steep rubble path, which might be challenging for some. Despite these challenges, the beach is admired for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning views, making it a worthwhile destination for naturist beach enthusiasts.
