Spiaggia Orvile, also known as Posada Orvile, is a picturesque beach situated in Posada, Orvile. Known for its isolation and tranquility, the beach is less crowded even during peak tourist seasons, making it a preferred hangout for locals. Its serene setting and cleanliness further enhance its appeal.
The beach is characterized by its natural beauty, with coarse light sand that is abundant with shells. It is bordered by a changing sea that ranges in color from emerald green to azure with shades of indigo. The water is clear and transparent, and the seabed gently slopes towards the open sea. The beach is separated from a pine forest and a pond by low dunes, with a surrounding landscape of pine trees and wooded hills adding to its charm. It is crossed by the mouth of the Rio Posada and is part of the long shoreline of Spiaggia di Posada.
Spiaggia Orvile is home to a diverse marine life, making it a popular spot for snorkeling enthusiasts who often spot little rays and soles in the posedonia's area. Beach tennis and other beach games can be enjoyed here, adding to the recreational options available.
The beach offers a wild atmosphere and is equipped with a small bar and picnic tables under the shade of pine trees. However, visitors are advised to bring their own supplies as there are not many beach umbrellas available.
Spiaggia Orvile is easily accessible, with parking available right amongst the trees. Off-season, the beach offers an authentic experience of coastal Sardinian beaches, with wood plank paths facilitating easy movement on the beach among the beautiful dunes and the pine trees. Despite the somewhat steeper water entry, the crystal clear water quality with no algae is a rewarding experience. The beach extends towards two other beaches, providing a virtually endless beach walk. However, some noise may be heard at the beach entrance due to a generator.
