Pak Meng Beach

Pak Meng Beach is a renowned beach located in the Mai Fat Subdistrict, Sikao District, Trang Province, Thailand. It is under the care of the nearby Hat Chao Mai National Park and is a popular tourist destination in the province. The beach is approximately 35 kilometers from Mueang Trang District and is situated next to the Andaman Sea of the Indian Ocean. It is known for its crescent shape and at low tide, it expands to a width of 500 meters. The sand is dense enough to support the weight of a car, making it possible to drive down to the beach. A unique feature of the beach is an observation point known as 'Khao Meng' or 'Ko Meng', named after a folk tale of an old fisherman. The beach is also known for its beautiful sunset views and is flanked by 5 kilometers of sea pine trees. Pak Meng Beach is also home to Pak Meng Pier, a popular departure point for tourists heading to various islands in the sea area of Trang Province such as Ko Mook, Morakot Cave, and Ko Ngai. The beach offers a tranquil setting, often described as less crowded and touristy, making it a perfect spot for sunset viewing. Visitors can enjoy a barbecue near the beach and relax in the serene environment. The beach is sandy with a usually flat, calm sea, and there are restaurants nearby. However, cleanliness can be an issue as there have been reports of litter on the beach.
