Yong Ling Beach is a picturesque beach located in Thailand. It is known for its warm, fairly clear waters, and the beautiful view of the sea and mountains. The beach is mainly visited by locals, providing a more intimate beach experience compared to other crowded tourist spots. However, it's important to note that the beach doesn't offer much space for water activities.
The beach is home to a playful population of monkeys, which can be seen all around the area. Visitors are advised not to feed them to avoid attracting large groups. On the way to the beach, visitors might also spot small Asian crocodiles, so caution is advised.
Getting to Yong Ling Beach can be a bit tricky for those unfamiliar with the area. The sign on the main road is in Thai, so it's recommended to use GPS for navigation. The beach is the first right after crossing the Let Chao Mai river. Alternatively, it's possible to reach the beach by walking along the sand from Hat Yao Beach, although this can be a long walk. There's a checkpoint on the road to the beach, located quite far from the main visitor centre area, at approximately 7.336383,99.383812.
The beach has been criticized for its dual pricing system, which charges a higher fee for foreigners. To avoid this fee, some visitors choose to park their car on the road about halfway and cut across the savannah-type landscape between the road and the beach, or walk the entire length of the beach from Hat Yao Beach.
