Beach Pastourelles

Beach Pastourelles is a serene and relatively unknown beach located in Lège-Cap-Ferret, France, on the Lège-Cap Ferret peninsula. This beach is nestled north of Arcachon Bay, near the village of Claouey, and at the foot of a dune that leads to the Bay of Arcachon. With a 400-meter stretch of sandy shoreline, the beach presents a picturesque view of the bay and is known for its cleanliness. The beach is also surrounded by a 13-hectare garden populated by pine trees, adding to its natural charm.

Unlike many other popular beaches, Beach Pastourelles is not typically crowded, providing a calm and peaceful environment for visitors. It is also a pet-friendly location, allowing visitors to bring their dogs. The beach is away from the main road, which adds to its tranquility.

The beach's connection with the tides offers a unique experience. While swimming is only possible at high tide, low tide reveals small pools that can entertain children. Additionally, the low tide provides opportunities for activities such as fishing.

To get to Beach Pastourelles, visitors can take the D106 road from Lège-Cap-Ferret towards the Point of Cap Ferret. A left turn towards the campsite "Les Pastourelles" in the village of Claouey leads to the beach. Parking is available along the main road for those arriving by car.

While the beach does not have specific recreational facilities or equipment, it is adjacent to an oyster village, providing an opportunity for visitors to indulge in local cuisine. There are also options for outdoor accommodations nearby, including the option to pitch a tent, park a camper van, or rent a mobile home or lodge tent.
