Plage du Portmain is a picturesque beach located in Pornic, a town in the Loire-Atlantique department of the Pays de la Loire region in France. The beach is divided into several zones, with the main beach being the most accessible. During the summer months, from July to August, the beach is monitored by lifeguards. There is also a first aid post available during this period, ensuring the safety of swimmers and beach-goers. Wooden pylons in the water indicate the sandy bottom, further enhancing the safety of the beach.
Plage du Portmain is easily accessible by car, with the direction towards Préfailles leading to the beach. The beach can also be reached via the D751 road, and its entrance is marked with road signage. There is ample parking available near the beach, including 60 regular parking spaces and 2 spaces specifically designed for disabled individuals. A ramp for disabled access is also available.
