Despite the lack of amenities, the beach offers a peaceful escape from mass tourism, which has increased since the beach's best beach in the world rating in March 2023. On average, the beach receives about 2000 visitors per day.
One of the main attractions of Sunset Beach is its stunning sunset views. Visitors are advised to bring their own drinks as there are no bars or restaurants on the beach. The beach is also a perfect place to relax, whether alone or with a group of friends. However, visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a good spot as the beach can get crowded.
Despite its beauty, Sunset Beach has a problem with plastic garbage from the ocean, which can be a bit depressing. However, the beach is still a lovely place for swimming and has lovely sand.
In addition to the beach itself, there are also short hikes through the jungle and a nice viewpoint from above. The beach is worth the 20-minute walk through the jungle.
