Tzanaki Beach

Tzanaki Beach, a small bay located in Livadia on the island of Astypalaia, is part of Greece's Dodecanese region. It is a pebbled beach spanning only 75 meters, known for its clear blue waters and stunning views of Chora, a nearby village. Despite its small size, the beach is divided into three smaller sections, accessible either by swimming or climbing the surrounding rocks. Recognized as the official nudist beach of Astypalaia, Tzanaki Beach also welcomes non-nudist visitors. Visitors are requested to uphold the tranquil ambiance of the beach by refraining from playing loud music. The beach is shielded from the northern winds that often blow across the Aegean Sea in August, providing a serene atmosphere for beachgoers. To reach Tzanaki Beach, visitors can take a bus to Livadia and then embark on a 25-minute hike to the beach. However, the path to the beach is relatively steep and may not be suitable for everyone. Despite this, the natural beauty of Tzanaki Beach makes the journey worthwhile for many visitors. The beach does not offer any amenities or parking facilities, so visitors are advised to come prepared.
