Plage Valentin, located in Batz-sur-Mer in the Loire-Atlantique department of the Pays de la Loire region in France, is the largest beach in the area, extending for 740 meters along the wild coast. Lifeguards from the SNSM monitor the beach from July 1st to August 31st, between 1:30 pm and 7 pm.
Plage Valentin is well-equipped to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility. An accessibility mat is available at the beach entrance on Rue Appert from June 15th to September 15th, weather permitting. Additionally, amphibious wheelchairs can be requested at the first aid station from July 1st to August 31st.
Near the beach, a sailing school recognized as a French Sailing School and the Mersea gliding school offer various activities for visitors. The beach is also a popular spot for skimboarding.
Parking facilities are available close to the beach for both cars and bicycles. Though parking generally does not pose a problem, the area may get crowded during the high season. To reach Plage Valentin from the center of Batz, visitors can take the D245 road towards Croisic and follow the signs for Plage Valentin and Ecole Voile.
The beach has regulations for maintaining a clean and safe environment. Dogs and other animals are prohibited on the beach between 10 am and 8 pm from April 15th to September 30th. Lighting fires on the beach and smoking in designated non-smoking areas are also not allowed. Metal detecting on the beach requires authorization from the Municipal Police Department.
