Plage Benoît

Plage Benoît is a large beach situated in the town of La Baule-Escoublac, in the Loire-Atlantique department of the Pays de la Loire region of France. The beach lies between the channel leading to the port and the town's main beach, providing a tranquil setting as it is away from road traffic and is only bordered by a pedestrian esplanade known as the Benoit promenade.

The beach is known for its sandy shoreline and is popular for various water activities, although these are typically carried out far out at sea. The beach also provides opportunities for long walks by the ocean or along the promenade, offering versatility to suit different visitor preferences. Other popular activities include clam collecting during low tide.

Plage Benoît offers several amenities to ensure the comfort of its visitors. There are two lifeguard stations located at strategic points - one at the end of the beach near the channel and the other in the center near Avenue de la Plage. Furthermore, the beach has two accessible entrances designed for people with reduced mobility. For leisure, there are several beach clubs for children and numerous restaurants nearby.

Getting to Plage Benoît from the seafront of La Baule involves heading towards Pouliguen. The Benoit promenade begins at the end of the street that runs along the seafront, just beyond the casino. However, due to the beach's popularity, parking can be challenging in the area. It is therefore recommended to park near the port for convenience.

Despite its many appealing features, visitors should be aware that there have been reports of cleanliness issues at Plage Benoît, including litter such as cigarette butts and pieces of plastic.
