Spiaggia di Porticello is a distinctive beach located on the island of Lipari, part of the Aeolian Islands in Sicily, Italy. This beach is situated in Contrada Porticello, approximately 12 kilometers from the small center of Porticello in Lipari. Lipari Island can be reached from the ports of Naples, Messina, Milazzo, and Palermo, with the option to bring a car. Once on the island, Porticello Beach can be accessed by car via the provincial road 179.
The beach is unique for its location within the former pumice quarries of Campo Bianco, offering a mesmerizing panorama of the surrounding landscape. The beach itself is composed of dark gray gravel mixed with round white pumice stones of varying sizes, creating a striking contrast against the turquoise and blue hues of the clear, transparent sea. The seabed slopes quickly towards the open sea, and the eastern slope of Monte Pilato forms a towering backdrop.
