Plage du Nau is a picturesque beach located in Le Pouliguen, a charming town in the Loire-Atlantique department of the Pays de la Loire region in France. Nestled between the Jetée du Port and the Hôtel de Ville, the beach provides a scenic view of the larger La Baule beach and the beaches of Pornichet.

Its sandy coastline spans 350 meters, and the right side of the beach features numerous rocks, adding to its natural beauty. It is particularly popular for shellfish gathering during low tide, with coques being a common find. Visitors are, however, advised to respect the restrictions regarding the minimum sizes and maximum quantities of different shellfish species.
Plage du Nau is a family-friendly destination, equipped with a lifeguard station that is operational during the summer months. The beach is also accessible to people with reduced mobility, with a tiralo (beach wheelchair) available at the lifeguard station. Additional amenities include showers and toilets located near the lifeguard station, beach clubs for children, a volleyball court, and beach cabins and tents available for rent.
Several restaurants and bars are in the vicinity, offering a range of dining options. Despite its popularity, Plage du Nau is known for its serene and tranquil atmosphere, with visitors often appreciating its nostalgic charm. However, the beach can get crowded and noisy during the summer months, and parking may be challenging. A parking lot is available at Place Jean-Moulin for those who drive.
The beach is also the starting point of "La CĂ´te sauvage," a 9.5 km pedestrian route that visitors can explore. Plage du Nau has been recognized for its environmental quality and efforts to minimize the impact of tourist activities, receiving the Blue Flag label since 2021. Despite its bustling summer activity, the beach maintains its cleanliness and charm, making it one of the most beloved beaches in Le Pouliguen.
