Baia Trentaremi

Baia Trentaremi is a picturesque and secluded beach situated in Naples, Italy. Noted for its natural beauty, it is nestled in an amphitheater-like setting formed from yellow tuff rocks of volcanic origin. These rocks can reach impressive heights of up to 150 meters and are complemented by lush Mediterranean vegetation that extends nearly to the sea. The beach is part of the Gaiola Marine Protected Area, renowned for its biodiversity and beauty.

The bay is characterized by its intense blue waters, providing a stark contrast to the bustling city of Naples. It is a peaceful place where visitors can enjoy the tranquility of nature away from urban life. Despite the scenic beauty, the beach itself is a mix of stones and other debris, including fragments of bottles and tiles, and is often littered with rubbish.

One of the key features of Baia Trentaremi is its stunning viewpoint. Located near the Virgiliano Park, it offers sweeping panoramic views, encompassing sights from Vesuvius to the Sorrento Peninsula, and extending to include Capri, Procida, and Ischia. However, it should be noted that this part of the park has been closed and neglected for many years, causing brambles and brushwood to overrun the tufa and brick floors.

Baia Trentaremi is accessible by Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) or Kayak, allowing visitors to explore the bay and its diverse marine life. However, it is important to note that prior registration is required before visiting the beach. Despite its seclusion, the beach's rich history and natural beauty make it a unique destination for those looking to escape the city and reconnect with nature.
