The beach is approximately one kilometer from the center of Lerici and is well connected to the town.
The beach features a sandy shoreline and clear, shallow waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing. It is characterized by breakwaters situated about 150 meters from the shore, accessible by swimming. This coastal area is also favored by surfers. Snorkeling is another activity that can be enjoyed at Venere Azzurra, providing a unique opportunity to explore the undersea world.
Venere Azzurra offers a range of amenities for visitors. These include beach establishments, some of which provide services such as umbrellas and sunbeds, changing rooms, and showers. Venere Azzurra can also be reached via the A12 highway, with the exit at the Sarzana toll booth being approximately seven kilometers away. Alternatively, those traveling by train can alight at the Sarzana station.
Despite its popularity among both locals and tourists, leading to it often being crowded, particularly with younger crowds, Venere Azzurra maintains a lively atmosphere. Ball games are a common sight on the beach, even though they are officially prohibited. However, it is important to note that dogs are not permitted on the beach.
While the majority of Venere Azzurra is freely accessible, some visitors have expressed concern about the cleanliness of the beach, noting the occasional presence of litter. The cost of amenities, such as beach chairs, can also be relatively high. Despite these issues, Venere Azzurra remains a popular destination, known for its natural beauty and range of activities.
